We pride ourselves on the quality of our Irish propagated and grown plants – which bear the Bord Bia Quality Assurance mark. Throughout our years in business, we have continued to be accredited with numerous awards.

Our outstanding collection of easy to grow, good value garden plants supplied and labeled under the ‘Nice and Easy’ brand has been a proven success since its introduction in 2000 and the range continues to expand every year. With our own bespoke colour picture labels, plants from Schram bring instant appeal to garden centre benches! All plants can be supplied pre-priced and barcoded to customer specific requirements.

We produce 1.2m units annually, with 20 staff on our 13 acre production facility. Producing our own cuttings and seeds means we have total control over quality throughout all steps in the production cycle. We are one of the few nurseries that grow plants from start to finish, making the range fully Irish grown in our native climate, thus they perform much better in the Irish garden.

In recent years Schram Plants have supplied plants for the Super Garden and Dermot’s Secret Garden TV shows. We have also been involved with many show gardens at Bloom in the Park.

Supplier History

Schram Plants is a family owned wholesale nursery based in Co Kildare. It was established in 1987 by Flip and Marian Schram, and since January 2015 has been under the ownership of their son, Tim Schram, and his business partner, Patrick Beegan.

With over 30 years’ experience, we are now Ireland’s leading herbaceous perennial supplier and have become a household name within the horticulture industry, known for our exceptional range and quality. We specialise in Herbaceous Perennials and Alpines, but also grow Herbs, Grasses, Roses, Ferns and Bamboos for the trade. We supply to Garden Centres, Landscapers, Parks Departments, and Local Authorities countrywide.
