Biography

Garden design has been Anne’s life for the past 20 years. Anne moved to Ireland with her family in 2007 and set up Anne Hamilton Associates in West Cork.

Anne trained in Landscape Design at Richmond College and honed her horticultural skills at the Chelsea Physic Garden. She has worked for several world-renowned designers at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show gardens, including Mark Gregory, Nigel Dunnett, Taina Suonio and Adam Frost.

She designed and built two award-winning show gardens at Bloom in the Park, Dublin. More recently, in 2023 Anne co-designed and built the silver medal awarded Cavernoma on My Mind Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

While most of her work is based in Ireland, Anne has also designed gardens in the UK, USA and Spain. The majority of her work is for private clients. She has also worked in conjunction with, and designed for, the Environmental Protection Agency, Dublin City Council, Bord Gáis and The South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital.

Anne has collaborated with Irish charitable and community groups to design a number of outdoor spaces in Cork County, including Telus #givewherewelive at Fota Wildlife Park.
