This is an ideas competition to explore how landscape architecture and garden design
can provide community space for growing, learning, and socialising. The site for this
competition is located within the walled garden in Cabinteely Park, Co. Dublin.

The competition is open to any student on the island of Ireland studying an
(accredited) garden design, horticulture related course or landscape skills training course registered to

Cabinteely Park is a suburban public park of
approximately 45 hectares in south county Dublin.
The park was originally the garden of the 18th
century Cabinteely House which can still be seen in
the park.
DLRCC parks department would like to explore the installation of a community garden
within the park, the creation of which would beenthusiastically received by residents.
