Biography
Jane McCorkell is a professional landscape architect and horticulture consultant with more than 20 years’ experience in the landscape industry. Jane has 12 years teaching experience and 15 years experience within her own private practice. Jane has attained 7 Gold winning medals for large gardens in Bloom and 4 Best in Show. A further 5 medals have been obtained as part of a collaborative team with Fingal County Council and TU Dublin, as well as numerous awards from the ALCI. Today Jane practices full-time as a Landscape Architect and Horticultural Consultant for both domestic and commercial clients throughout Ireland. The work undertaken by the company ranges from consultancy, full design packages to planning packs. The company offers a range of services and welcomes all queries.
History
Jane McCorkell studied a degree in Landscape Horticulture at Writtle College Essex, and completed a 1 year gardening apprentice with the Royal Horticultural Society at their flagship gardens in Wisley. After a number of years in the industry, Jane completed a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture at UCD. Jane has taught at the Salesian College of Horticulture, Warrenstown and at the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown. She has also sat on the Horticultural Board for Bord Bia.
