Biography

With over 20 years working in the landscape industry,  Noranne has worked in a variety of the industry areas including as a Horticulturist growing crops, landscape maintenance with the Office of Public Works, practicing as a Landscape Architect in Hong Kong, China and the established practice of Brady Shipman Martin in Cork City.

She began her profession as a qualified horticulturist, completing her studies in Kildalton College and has worked in a variety of plant nurseries, including the reputable Coblands Nurseries in Kent, UK.

She continued her studies in Leeds Metropolitan University, UK and qualified as a Landscape Architect, after which she travelled to Asia and worked in both China and Hong Kong for a number of years.

She returned to Ireland and worked for Brady Shipman Martin< as a Senior Landscape Architect for 7 years. She now has her own business; S C O T T Landscape Design and offers services of landscape design and architecture.

At S C O T T Landscape Design, the combination of the scientific understanding of horticulture and the aesthetics of design, provides a unique service of quality landscape and garden design.

Noranne works with domestic and commercial projects of various sizes and complexities; from offering advice on plant selection for people wishing to improve their garden to full garden design and landscape architecture services. Operating throughout the Munster, south Connaught and Leinster areas, she has developed a strong base of satisfied clients; with the majority of her clients obtained through recommendations.

Noranne believes in the natural unity of our living environment and our outdoor environment. In designing landscape spaces (either a small garden or an urban square); she work to the ethos that these spaces are not only for admiring but also enjoying.

Design Qualifications

Noranne qualified as a Landscape Architect (BA (Hons), LA Grad.Dip) from Leeds Metropolitan University, UK and as an Horticulturist (Dip. Hort) from Kildalton College, Ireland.
