Cornelia Raftery has always been a gardener with a strong interest in creating well-designed outdoor spaces. Having worked London in product and exhibition design, she then worked both as a designer and project manager for many multinationals including Motorola, Alcon, BT, Abbott, Alamo and Thai Airways. She then decided to follow her dream of becoming a landscape architect and garden designer. This career change gave her experience working as a landscape designer in Australia and Canada as well as the United Kingdom.

On her return to Ireland in 2001, Cornelia completed a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture in UCD. This brought together her experience as a designer and her interest in plants and gardening.

Since then she has worked on a variety of projects from small private gardens to public parks, community regeneration schemes and large scale corporate projects. She now concentrates on landscaping projects from large scale commercial developments to smaller residential gardens.  While her background in product design ensures that all aspects of her designs are detailed to the highest degree she also brings her experience in project management and a life time’s knowledge and interest in plants and gardening to her designs.

Cornelia works as a landscape architect and garden design consultant for domestic and commercial clients both in Ireland and in the United Kingdom. She offers the following services to her clients: design consultation, garden design plans, planting plans, construction drawings, landscape planning applications, landscape and visual impact assessment and a complete project management service.
